Solar Threads Can Turn Fabric Into Power Generators

Solar Threads Can Turn Fabric Into Power Generators

Ideal Star, a Tokyo based company, has come up with a rather interesting development, specifically a way to infuse threads with solar cells, and this method actually coats the threads, so it’s claimed that there is no need for expensive equipment to manufacture it. With further development, hopefully they’ll be able to make the threads longer, as the practical uses of such technology could be quite interesting, such as curtains that could collect solar power; or maybe the clothes we wear, without having to look like we’re wearing plate mail made from solar panels. Looking to the future, solar technology is certainly going to be very important, so let’s keep an eye on this.
