Asus certainly isn't going to retire the Eee PC brand anytime soon, with their latest iteration, the Eee PC 1000HV hitting Italy via the online store known as Computer Discount. What does the Eee PC 1000HV have which is different compared to its brethren? Nothing much, apart from the 256MB ATI Radeon HD 3450 video card that ought to make gamers sit up and take notice. Unfortunately, we think the bottleneck of having a slow Intel Atom N280 1.66GHz processor within makes the ATI Radeon HD card redundant. Asus touts that the 6-cell battery is able to provide five hours of runtime, but we think that's a bit on the optimistic side if you're going to get some gaming done on this while you're on the go.
