Mark June 17 on your calendars as that would be when the OnLive 'Games-on-Demand' service powered by cloud-servers arrives. Steve Perlman and Mike McGarvey, founders of OnLive, has taken the opportunity to announce the subscription plans for the service for both PCs and Macs, albeit only for folks living in the US, with no word on availability and their respective subscription plans for the European region at the moment. What is OnLive? It is a 'Games on Demand' service powered by Cloud-servers and based on subscription model. The moment you access the huge library of games, you can play them instantly over the Internet without having to worry about system compatibility and going through the whole tedious installation process. With 720p HD quality video gaming, expect to spend more time cooped up at home now. For more context, check out our hands-on of the OnLive Game Service at last year's GDC.

First we had a look at the Carpuccino that ran on coffee, taking up to 50 cups of espresso to move a mile. Hopefully mileage of this £200,000 Chocolate Powered Racing Car is better, thanks to the efforts of students at the University of Warwick. Touted to be the world’s first sustainable Formula 3 racing car, it comes with a top speed of 135 miles per hour and can surprisingly hit the magical zero to 60 mark in a mere 2.5 seconds. We do wonder whether the brand of the chocolate matters or not...

Mobiado is back with another millionaire-friendly phone - the Classic 712GCB. This handset is touted to be an “expression of mechanical perfection, mastering of aesthetic details, and the integrity of consistent craftsmanship.” When going through the specifications list, it is not too far away from the Classic 712ZAF, featuring a candybar form factor accompanied by a 2.2" QVGA display, 3G connectivity, GPS support, a web browser, music player and a 5-megapixel camera with flash. Made from stainless steel, it will also have a touch of luxury with large sapphire crystal plates and 24K gold wrapping its exterior. Heck, even the handset's keys are also made out of sapphire crystal hand-painted with gold. No idea on pricing, but this is a classic case of "if you have to ask..."

Looks like folks with the iPhone won't be able to gloat over Palm owners anymore since the Unreal Engine 3 will be making its way to the webOS platform as well. While details are pretty scarce at the moment, Palm just announced a deal with Epic Games at the Games Developer Conference in San Francisco. We can't wait to see the processors found within Palm's range of devices to be put to good use with quality games. What are some of the titles running on this Unreal Engine that you would like to see realized?

Shuo of China has come up with a tablet that is surprisingly large, considering it packs a massive 10.1" device. Underneath the hood however, you will find a 1.2GHz processor of either VIA or Atom variety, and it can hold up to 2GB RAM. You do get HDMI out as well, but without any mention of a HD-capable playback chip, we do wonder what the whole point of that output port is for. Rumor has it that Windows 7 is the operating system of choice, but we will just have to wait until official word on its pricing and availability are revealed.

It's tax season, a time of year that identity thieves are looking to prey on unsuspecting victims. That's why we've joined forces with Fellowes to give away five of their new Microshred Series shredders (specifically the MS-450Ci), which literally shred paper into dust (3,000 pieces to be exact). Protect your sensitive information and enter to win! Here's how Fellowes describes its product:

"Fellowes Microshred Series shredders are designed to help consumers and business professionals protect their confidential information at home and in the workplace. The Microshred product line is the first to combine Micro-Cut capabilities with 100% Jam Proof technology, reducing paper documents into pieces 10x smaller than a Cross-Cut shredder, making them virtually impossible for identity thieves to piece back together."

For those of you who have an eye open for the HP Mini 5102 might want to be more wary when it comes to cheap online sales as you could end up with the Tenda T26 instead - a close clone of the original, including its package box. The main difference would be the slightly larger display at 11.6" compared to the 10" one found on the HP Mini 5102. Features include 1,366 × 768 resolution, an Intel Atom N450 1.6GHz processor, integrated Intel GMA3150 graphics, 1GB RAM, a 160GB hard drive, a 1.3-megapixel webcam, a trio of USB ports Wi-Fi connectivity. Throw in a PCI-E slot and you can have the benefits of a 3G module.

It does look as though Android 2.1 was specially reserved for high-end and mid-end smartphones only, but we guess not with word of the HTC Tattoo to receive Android 2.1 in due time, despite it being HTC's most affordable Android handset to date. HTC has confirmed that they are now working on integrating its Sense UI with Android 2.1 on the Tattoo, so all Tattoo owners out there will just have to be a little bit patient.

The Twendy-One robot took over a decade of research by Professor Shigeki Sugano and his team of researchers at Waseda University, Japan, where they were assisted by over 20 private companies to come up with a robot that is able to co-exist with humans in an aging society. This seems to be a phenomenon with Japan (and perhaps Singapore in the near future), so robots might be their only hope when it comes to companionship and caregiving during one's golden years. Twendy-One's most notable feature would be its mechanical passive impedance mechanism that allows it to adapt to unexpected external forces. With a four-fingered hand, it is able to pick up tiny flat objects without a problem, featuring soft finger tips but a hard nail. If you want a caregiver that doesn't gossip behind your back or poison you slowly over time to have a bite at your inheritance, then you might want to consider forking out around $110,000 to $210,000 for the Twendy-One.
