Pioneer has just launched its DJM-2000 mixer today, where it will come with the seemingly customary touchscreen display in many devices these days. Apart from that, you will also be able to benefit from half a dozen individual effects processors. Basically, this model contains all of the built-in technology of the EFX-1000, hence doing away with the need for an external effects unit. Pioneer has enlisted the help of James Zabiela, Roger Sanchez, Eddie Halliwell, Tom Middleton, The Swedish House Mafia, Paul Woolford, John ‘00′ Fleming and Kutski DJs during different parts of its development before settling on the final version which will set you back by &euro1,999.

When a security company comes out and announces that its next-generation RFID ICs are unclonable, you can be sure that the company will attract a lot of attention, though the question is whether the attention is the desired type (potential customers), or the undesired type (folks who want to crack such security measures). The first chip of the new product family, boasting the company’s Physical Unclonable Functions (PUF) technology, will be the Vera ̆H, which can deliver security to mass transit tickets, secure IDs, access cards and many other things. It sports a non-networked, unlimited authentication feature, which should help offer the security needed, with significant cost benefits. The ̆H is currently available for mass production, while the other RFID ICs in the product family will be available later this year. Do you think that there is such a thing as an unclonable chip, or is it just a wishful boast?

The Auto + USBoombox is something cute and chic, since it features a head that is made out of a casette tape, carrying around a boombox which hides a 1GB USB flash drive in reality. Each version of the Auto + USBoombox will also include an exclusive soundtrack. Hmmm, doesn’t sound as though this MP3 player is going to light up the world anytime soon with its prowess (or rather, lack of it), and the $60 price tag might just turn most people off due to the perceived lack of value, but collectors will think otherwise.

Its 2,000 mAh battery is capable of keeping the V8HD going for up to 10 hours where video is concerned, while audiophiles can enjoy up to 35 hours of non-stop music.
