When you first heard of a Lego App for your iPhone, what were you thinking about? A digital version of those little colored bricks, where you&rsquoll be able to build castles, and maybe export those digital designs? Well, it&rsquos nothing like that, in reality the Lego iPhone app allows you to take a picture, and modify it into a version that is built by Lego bricks. Simple and pretty, but you do have to wonder if they could have come up with a more useful app for the iPhone, don&rsquot you think?

Will we be getting clearer and better quality call quality in the near future? The folks over at Orange UK certainly seem to think so, as the company is looking to be one of the first carriers to upgrade its call quality with the launch of HD Voice, using a technology known as Wideband Adaptive Multi-Rate (WB-AMR). This will actually allocate more bandwidth to a call than normal 3G voice uses, without increasing the amount of data used. You’ll probably need phones that support WB-AMR, and it’s not confirmed whether our current phones will be able to be upgraded to the new standard. Orange will start trials of HD Video in Jan 2010, so hopefully we’ll be staring at better call quality sometime real soon.

If you own a Kingston DataTraveler BlackBox, DataTraveler Secure or DataTraveler Elite drives, you might want to pay attention to this. Kingston has posted a security alert on its website, stating that a skilled person with the proper tools and physical access to the drives may actually be able to get unauthorized access to data stored on said drives. Fortunately for users, it seem s that Kingston is willing to resolve this issue, and is urging customers with affected drives to contact tech support to arrange for a factory update of your device (though it’d be a very good idea to make a copy of the data on the thumbdrive,) Will this affect your confidence in Kingston products in the future?

Could this be true, or is it just another unfounded rumor? You&rsquoll probably want to take it with a pinch of salt for the moment. According to reports, Motorola may be working on a new Android-powered phone, nicknamed either the Mirage or Shadow. If it&rsquos true, and the specs are accurate, it&rsquoll certainly beat the Motorola DROID in some departments at least. It&rsquoll sport a large 4.3-inch 854 x 480 display. More interesting is the word that the phone will support 1080p video, and will have a native HDMI output. Apparently it might be as thin as 0.35 inches, and also sport an 8-megapixel camera. Do you think this could be true, or is it just wishing thinking at the end of 2009?

While the HTC Ozone hasn’t received an official Windows Mobile 6.5 update just yet, owners of said phone can take comfort in the fact that some folks have come up with a custom ROM for the HTC Ozone, updating it to Windows Mobile 6.5. It&rsquos not a major update, but you&rsquoll get some nice improvements such as graphic enhancements, Marketplace, MyPhone, better battery life, performance improvements, better Exchange support and some other things too. Of course, since it&rsquos not an official ROM, you&rsquoll want to tread carefully, since you do run the possibility of bricking your phone or losing data.

Apple seems to have managed to sort out a messy class-action lawsuit in its favor. The class action lawsuit claims that Apple’s iPod can cause hearing loss, but the claim was rejected in the appeals court, and ruled that the plaintiffs did not adequately show that the use of the iPod “poses an unreasonable risk of noise-induced hearing loss”. Do you think that the iPods might cause you hearing loss? Wouldn’t you just turn down the volume on your iPod if the music was too loud anyways?
