We’ll bet at ʵ 2009 in Los Angeles Next week to report on updates from the gaming world. There will be interesting new gadgets over there to get our hands-on, such as the Zune HD from Microsoft, but the big two events are Sony (psp go, pҁ slim?) and Nintendo on Tuesday at 9am and 11am, where we will be posting live.
As a teaser to E3 2009, take a look at the NIER trailer from Square. The photography reminds us of 300.

UMPCFeaver (in Chinese) has posted photos of what it claims to be the autofocus feature of the upcoming iPhone OS 3.0. some claim that the OS 3.0 will also boost the image quality from old phones, but if the iPhone 3rd Generation’s camera has an autofocus, it would make things even sweeter.
From the screenshots, it looks like users can tap to indicate where they want the focus to be.
Update: the UMPCfever page has been removed since

[E3 2009] Once again, the rumors were spot on, except that we now know what the PSP Go will look like, even if the earlier concept was close. Recent leaks have appeared online in the past hour or so. The forums on PlayStation.com or Eurogamer have featured photos of the device, set to be presented officially next week at ʵ 2009. So, far here are the specifications that have leaked:
- The UMD drive is gone, can download content from PS Network (games, TV shows)
- It is faster than the PS
- 16GB of flash
- Bluetooth (for headset, phone tethering)
- Coming “this fall″
Check the photo gallery. The video is embedded in the full post. If you wonder, the PSP 3000 will continue to exist as a product.
Update: The end of the YouTube movie suggests a a new game that could be Gran Turismo and the video mentions a new Metal Gear game for the PSP Go. Sony suggests that developers could create smaller, more “casual” games (that would be lighter to download?)

The Kindle won’t have a color screen “for quite a while”, said Jeff Bezos, the CEO of Amazon. But he gives “hope” by saying that this is something that they are working on.
Some already complain that the Kindle is too expensive (we think that eBooks are too expensive), so imagine what would happen if a color display was added. In time, it will happen however.
We think that Amazon is still working on the fundamental value proposition of this product. At the moment, the content is still relatively expensive and it will take time before publishers realize that they can’t charge near dead-tree price for an electronic version. Just look at the music industry. Prices have to come down.
When investors asked how many Kindles had been sold sold, Jeff Bezos declined to reveal the number. Links: Kindle 2 Review, More Kindle stories

Mac clones are generally not welcome in California as Psystar found out, but out of the ashes rise yet another company that aims to sell Mac clones not only online but at their own retail store located within the Los Angeles area. Quo Computer is certainly idealistic, if not rather naive, to think that “Apple sees the value in what we are doing.” Chances are Quo Computer will receive a call and letter from Apple’s lawyers pretty soon. This isn’t going to be a walk in the park for Quo Computer, that’s for sure.

We′ve seen our fair share of USB hubs in the past, but this one clearly takes the cake. After all, how many USB hubs do you know of in existence that are able to connect up to 49 different USB devices simultaneously? Hopefully the computer handling this hub will be able to work out the nitty gritty without breaking a sweat. Unfortunately for us, the masses, this USB hub isn’t for sale anytime in the near future, as it seems to be more comfortable residing in some test laboratory somewhere.
